Welcome to Highbury Self Storage. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our storage facilities and services. By renting a storage unit with us, you agree to comply with the rules and guidelines outlined below. Please read these terms carefully to ensure a clear understanding of your rights and responsibilities.
General Terms
By entering into a rental agreement with Highbury Self Storage, you accept and agree to abide by all terms and conditions stated herein. These terms form a legally binding contract between you and Highbury Self Storage.
Storage Units
We offer a variety of storage unit sizes to accommodate your needs. Each unit is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to availability. Unit specifications cannot be changed once the rental agreement is signed.
- Access Hours: Units are accessible between 6 AM and 10 PM daily.
- Security: Our facility is monitored 24/7 with CCTV cameras and secure access codes.
- Cleanliness: Tenants are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their storage units.
Payment Policies
Rent is due on the first day of each month. Payments can be made via cash, credit card, or bank transfer. A late fee will be applied if payment is not received within five days of the due date.
- Rent Increases: Rent may be adjusted annually based on market conditions and operational costs.
- Refunds: Refunds for overpayments are available upon request.
Use of Storage Units
Units must be used for storage purposes only. Prohibited items include:
- Flammable or explosive materials
- Perishable goods
- Illegal substances
- Hazardous waste
Highbury Self Storage reserves the right to inspect units to ensure compliance with these regulations.
Liability and Insurance
Highbury Self Storage is not liable for loss or damage to stored items unless caused by our negligence. We recommend tenants obtain their own insurance to cover potential risks.
- Insurance Options: Various insurance plans are available through third-party providers.
- Liability Limits: Our standard liability coverage is limited to $500 per unit.
Termination and Cancellation
Tenants may terminate their rental agreement by providing a written notice of at least 30 days. Early termination may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to one month’s rent.
- Automatic Renewal: Unless canceled, rental agreements automatically renew on a monthly basis.
- Moving Out: Upon termination, tenants must remove all items and return keys. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.
Renovation or Emergencies
In the event of facility renovations or emergencies, Highbury Self Storage will notify tenants as soon as possible. During such times, access to units may be temporarily restricted.
- Alternative Arrangements: We will provide options for temporary storage solutions if necessary.
- Compensation: Discounts or refunds may be offered in cases where access is significantly impacted.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from the rental agreement should first be addressed directly with Highbury Self Storage management. If a resolution cannot be reached, mediation or arbitration may be pursued as a next step.
- Mediation: An impartial mediator will facilitate discussions between parties.
- Arbitration: A binding decision will be made by an arbitrator in accordance with local laws.
